I was a cop reporter, then a probation officer. For 25 years I perfected my handmade
chocolate peanut butter cups for gifts and sheer joy. Nearly two years ago I retired to do something new. One day I asked my hubs what to do
while peering through the platters of decadent chocolate cup towers
infiltrating the kitchen, thanks to my newfound free time. “Why don’t you sell 'them' things?” he
said. In September 2009 The Joycup
Co. was launched.
I’m amazed by how many tortured peanut butter cup lovers are
out there like me, left wanting by the limited quality choices. I suppose that’s why I began making my
own in the first place, and why they’ve evolved with my cravings for tarty
fruit and salty-sweet combinations I can’t find anywhere else.
When I’m not delivering or creating custom Joycups fresh to
order, I’m searching for natural treasures with my three grandchildren on
Cayucos Beach, writing, photographing, volunteering at my granddaughter’s
Cayucos Elementary School or in the community as a Lioness Club member. My personal and business philosophy of
sustainability is inspired by the very best the Central Coast has to
offer. It’s all good.

Each richly chocolate peanut butter cup at The Joycup Co. is handmade using ingredients that are organic, fair trade, locally grown or purchased for savoring the all-natural essence of paradise: California’s Central Coast. Like olallieberries, blueberries and other amazing pourable fruits made without preservatives, additives or gluten from coastal farms’ vines.
The fruits and organic sea salts are blended in creamy organic peanut butter centers mixed with freshly ground organic peanuts from a local health food market, then wrapped in premium dark or milk Guittard chocolate.
Each cup is topped with beautifully crafted custom artisan designs from
cocoa butter for holidays, seasons, birthdays, weddings, graduations and
baby celebrations, special events and more. We also offer custom
private logos for gift baskets, wedding favors or events, wineries and
